Both events were hosted by Kevin Gavin, IES, Ltd., with the second encore event co-hosted by Matt Gersper, Global Data Mining, LLC, and Max Kantzer, President of Transmodal Associates, Inc.
The webcasts presented a focused analysis that helped guide the trade community and proposed insight on how to adapt to the upcoming CBP regulation and how to streamline into compliance. In particular, the discussion took a strategic look at how to manage and protect the soon to be required sensitive information while still providing visibility throughout the entire supply chain.
Kevin Gavin, Vice President of Supply Chain Management, transitioned to IES, Ltd. after his role as President and CEO of SECTRA. He continues his work to expand IES to its current status as one of the leading providers of Ocean, Air and Truck AMS and Global Supply Chain Management. Kevin’s background spans over 20 years servicing the International Trade Community. Mr. Gavin currently provides IES with technological and operational direction to guide the development of new products and services particularly when adapting to ever-changing governmental regulations.
Matt Gersper, Founder and President, Global Data Mining, LLC, has more than 20 years of experience optimizing processes and helping customers turn unorganized data into information managers and executives need to improve performance. His vision and expertise have driven successful results in retail, wholesale, trade, logistics and manufacturing sectors. He founded a practice for reengineering and automating business processes for a worldwide leader in recovery auditing. Matt is an enthusiastic contributor to the global trade industry as an author and frequent speaker at industry conferences and events. Mr. Gersper is also an owner of CUSTOMS Info, LLC and director for the International Trade Bureau.
Max Kantzer, President of Transmodal Associates, Inc., pioneered the outsourced logistics model in the early 70s and developed an expertise in managing apparel and footwear supply chains. President since 1999, Max has lead the application of information technologies to lower the costs of service delivery and help his clients achieve best practices in their global operations. In 2005, Max was named by World Trade Magazine as one of the Top 100 Professionals in Supply Chain Management. A supply chain innovator with a real world understanding of how to make strategy pay, Max is now focusing his efforts on developing services that better integrate the supply base and support new 'lean' import fulfillment strategies like DC Bypass.
